Khokhloma ( kho-khlo-ma)is the name of a Russian wood painting handicraft style and known for its vivid flower and berry patterns; red and gold colors over a black background. The work is very intensive - The mostly produced items are tableware, utensils (mostly spoons), plates, etc. The candle are very delicate and light weight. The interior of the bowls are painted in gold.
