The Ukrainian gerdany (plural) gerdan - singular masculine. In Western Ukraine the gerdan is known as a headband or a necklace with beads. Ukrainian woman enjoy wearing beads. The gerdany are intricately assembled together with tiny coloured beads in a coordinating style. The beaded necklaces and gerdany do not stretch. The measurement of the necklaces, and gerdandy is the circumference - the LENGTH.
