    CARE FOR YOUR SHIRT

               Material is good quality poly-cotton imported by the Ukrainian people from Germany. The material is comfortable, wears and washes well - is a nice white fabric. Stains can easily be removed. Simply wash by hand in lukewarm soapy water. The color of the embroidery threads (floss) will not run.  Hang to dry. First iron on the wrong side to test setting of iron.  Start with a low setting (low heat - synthetic) as there is polyester in the material - you do not want the material to burn - and then gradually increase the setting. It is easier to iron out the wrinkles when the shirt is still slightly damp.  To remove a stain use a cotton swab that has been dipped in diluted bleach. Dab on the spot. Rinse. Do not dry clean your shirt. A new product that is very easy to remove stains of any kind is Spray 'n Wash - dual power - has 2 tubes.   
               The colors used now are a new fashionable deep wine (burgundy) with black contrast. The Hutsul colors of greens and yellows are the latest trend. The traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt has embroidery work on the stand up collar, mid section panel and cuffs. The button down shirt is completed with a tie string and tassels at the front of the neck closing and sometimes on the cuffs.  As with the blouses allow plenty of room for a nice comfortable loose fit. The measurements are taken on the flat material of the shirt and may not be exact to your present wearing size. Note: the sleeve is measured from the embroider collar down to the edge of the cuff.
